Cape Town - If you are planning an overseas trip soon, who isn't, even if it's just aspirational dreaming for now - best you subscribe to our weekend newsletter for all the top budget tips right here.
However if you find yourself in London, you can forget about chauffeurs and cab rip-offs, as the country has introduced the "first self-driving tour" for visitors who like to multitask.
The "talking car", Yonda - created three years ago by best friends, James and Joe - takes tourists around some the iconic places like Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace on their own time.
"You explore and get to know this magical city like a real Londoner and the car talks to you like a friend would over a drink. It's a totally cool and unique experience," says Yonda co-founder, James Kafton.
Wouldn't it be cool to have this sort of thing in all the major cities of the world, including Cape Town?

How to book
Tourists can pick up the smart car, equipped with a unique satellite navigation system that provides facts on the city as visitors move along with traffic at the Yonda headquarters.
On the road
The car's system is synced with GPS to make commuting easy and should you find yourself stuck in traffic, tourists will hear relevant facts about the block they are on. The tour is interrupted only by driving instructions like “turn left” or “make a U-turn.”
Through the course of the drive, visitors will pass through iconic neighbourhoods like Mayfair, Soho, Covent Garden and Whitehall.
"The route takes the smart car down London’s smaller, cobblestone streets, something that would be impossible on a traditional bus tour," says Yonda.
Although mostly targeted at foreigners, Kafton says he wants this tour to give even Londoners a chance to really get to know this magical city and the amazing stories and history that it holds.
NOTE: Visitors renting out the car must have a valid driver’s license and be between the ages of 25 and 75.
The tour costs about £60 (about R1036 at R17.27/£) for a two-seat vehicle, including insurance. Four-seat vehicles will be available later this year.
The cars are available to rent seven days a week from 10:00 to 18:00
