Port Elizabeth welcomes spring with open arms for the weekend of the 1 - 3 September and it is filled with lots of activity and outdoor options. The KFC Herald Family Country Fair is a must attend event - bring the whole family along as you enjoy the sunshine and activity. Enjoy the morning with your furry best friend at the  Bush Fun Dog hosted at Grass roof. 

Enjoy the local treasures of The Valley Market or take part in their first ever running event called the Valley Market run.

Friday, 1 September 

SEE: Hurricane Thenjiwe live at the Boardwalk for some first class entertainment and comedy performance. The show will be from 19:00 - 21:00 - tickets cost R 150 - R 250 and can be purchased here

DO: Listen to Akkedis Live at the Music Kitchen from 20: 00 - 23:00. Tickets cost R 70. 

TASTE: Head to Todos Locos for the finest Mexican food in town. Open from 12:00 - 22:00. 

EXPLORE: Spring Fest - the perfect roof top party to welcome back spring. Open from 13:00 - 18:00, Entrance is FREE. Taking place at NMMU.

Saturday, 2 September 

SEE: The lush rolling green hills as you enjoy the Bush Fun Dog walk at Grass roof - from 09:00 - 10:00.

DO: Head to The KFC Herald Family Country Fair for a day filled with activity -it is an event for the whole family from 09:00 - 17:00. Taking place at the Holmeleigh Farmyard. Tickets cost R 50 and can be purchased here. 

TASTE: Experience true Mediterranean food at Two olives, open from  11:00 - 22:30. 

EXPLORE: Head on to The Valley market for a lovely day filled with treats as well as the first official valley market run, get the whole family involved and head outdoors for the day. Taking place at the The Tramsway building. R 20 for a race entry with free entry into the market at a lovely cappuccino. Kids under 12 get to run for free. 

Sunday, 3 September 

SEE: A truly safari experience as you wine and dine at The Boma

DO: Embrace the spring air as you cycle through the 12km Baakens River Mountain Bike trail

TASTE: Experience a scenic ocean view while you dig into some delicious food at Blue Waters Cafe , open from 07:30 - 22:00. 

EXPLORE: The forest landscape at the Forest Charity Dogwalk - taking place at Thunzi bush lodge from 09:00 - 11:00. Entrance cost R 20 per adult and R 10 per dog or child.
