Port Elizabeth is celebrating the weekend from the 15 -17 September with a filled line up of events. Witness Idols contests Bevin Samuels perform live as he takes the stage at the Boardwalk. With it being heritage month do head over to the newly renovated Campanile Memorial for a dose of South African history.

Visit the creative connect to see the talents of the bay firsthand or take the family to the Spring family day carnival.

Friday, 15

SEE: The unforgettable Bevin Samuels SA Idols contestant performs at the Boardwalk. Show takes place from19:00 - 22:00. Tickets will cost R100 - R150 per person and can be purchased here

DO: Ladies this event is for you - head to the dip, drive and drink to learn some pro golf moves from the best. It will take place at Humewood golf club from 17:00 - 20:00. It costs R50 to enjoy this fun evening and booking is essential. 

TASTE: Fusion sushi and eastern cuisine, open from 12:00 - 22:00.

EXPLORE: The wonderful and newly re-opened Campanile Memorial is open from 09:00 - 16:00.

Saturday, 16

SEE: South African history and marine life at Bayworld, open from 09:00 - 16:30. Entrance cost R 45 per adult and R 35 for children 3 -17 years. 

DO: Head to the annual EPCC Clivia show for the most stunning site of flora and fauna, starting at 09:00 - 14:00. This event will run from the 16 - 17 September. It will take place at the Sherwood Garden centre and there is a lovely cafe to grab a bite.

TASTE: Enjoy a delicious high tea at the Eataly restaurant from 13:00 - 17:00. It costs R130 per person and can be paid for at the door. Theme is high tea attire and be prepared for a delicious afternoon.

EXPLORE: The spring family day carnival is back and promises to be filled with even more fun and activities. Being held at the Polokwane Cricket club. Open from 10:00 - 20:00 and entrance cost R 80 per person or R300 for a family of five. Tickets can be purchased here.

Sunday, 17

SEE: Acoustic music performed live at Bocadillos restaurant, open from 12:00 - 15:00. The talented Marc Anthony will be playing live and unplugged. 

DO: Explore and see the creatives of the bay at Creative Connect 2017, taking place at the Tramways building. There will be live music with food and drinks available. Open from 15:00 - 19:00. Entrance is FREE.

TASTE: Mouth watering Italian food at Charlies pizza and pasta, open from 08:30 - 22:00. 

EXPLORE: Zukile Matshaya's cd launch at Veeplaas hall for a music filled day. Starting at 13:00 - 19:00 and entrance is FREE.
