The weekend is back and there's no need to have a panic attack, we've got a few cool things lined up for you to do.

Here's the spice that Durban is delivering this weekend:

Friday, 13 April

SEE: Watch Santana live courtesy of Big Concerts at the Durban ICC in Bram Fischer Road from 20h00 until 21h30. Ticket prices range between R575 and R1025 and can be bought here.

DO: Get your pets chipped at the SPCA Durban's Micro-chipping Day taking place at the SPCA Durban in Willowfield Crescent Springfield Park between 09h00 and 15h00. No appointment is needed and the team will be chipping pets for a fee of R180 per pet. 

TASTE: Take a trip to 'Murica with the The Ameri-Canteen Food Truck that sits in WarnerDoone, Durban. 

EXPLORE: Play some 8ball pool at the Goodfellas - SB Sports bar and cafe located in Old main Road in Ottawa, Verulam.

Saturday, 14 April

SEE: Check out the Surf Contest hitting the waves of Anstey's Beach in Foreshore Drive, Bluff, Ethekwini. The event hangs 10 from 06h00 until 11h00 and registration is from 06h00 to 07h00 sharp. The contest will start at 07h00 and finish at 10h30 and the entrance fee is R50 for people under 21 yrs old and R100 for people over 21 yrs old.

DO: Take a stroll through the Durban Botanical Gardens in Sydenham Road, Durban. Maybe grab along a picnic blanket, snacks and your favourite book and enjoy some fresh air and alone or family time. Entrance is free and you can view its operational hours here.

TASTE: Enjoy some of the tasty treats on sale at the Plan B Essenwood Saturday Market in Stephen Dlamini Road, Berea. The market is open from 09h00 until 14h00 and includes entertainment for the kids too!

EXPLORE: Explore the sounds of Lost&Found at their album launch event strumming off at The Winston Pub in Clark Road. It grooves into motion at 21h00 the Saturday, 14 April and unplugs at 00h00 on Sunday, 15 April. Entrance is R50 per person. 

SEE: The Durban art gallery is unmissable and the coffee’s good too

Sunday, 15 April

SEE: Check out some live music every Sunday at Beach Bums in Casuarina Beach Road, Ballito from 12h00. 

DO: Visit the KwaZulu-Natal Society of Arts (KZNSA) museum located in Bulwer Road, Glenwood and immerse yourself in the various artwork and exhibitions being displayed. The entrance is free and the experience and memories are priceless.

TASTE: Indulge in food artwork over at the Fudart truck that you can find somewhere around the Durban city and at popular events. For more information, view their website.

EXPLORE: Enjoy family fun at the Family Fun Day courtesy of Hillside Church. The event will be taking place at Hillside Church in Inada Road, Hillcrest between 11h00 and 15h00. Guests are encouraged to pack in their picnic blankets, family and basket of fun for the event!
