Durban will be welcoming spring in style with the hot line up for the weekend of the 1 - 3 September. There is an abundance of activity to get involved in - from laughing yourself silly at the Comedy show live at the BAT centre to grabbing a bargain at the I Heart Market.

The music will keep you moving this weekend to welcome spring as you dance the night away at Bubbles, Beer and Burgers or why not head outdoors to welcome the warm sun in a session of yoga and a lovely hike through Giba Gorge.

Friday, 1 September 

SEE: Durban's finest comedians and musicians live at the BAT centre from 19:00 - 22:00. Tickets to this fun filled event are R 60 and can be purchased here. 

DO: Head to the Natural and Organic Market taking place at Roseway Waldorf school from 17:00 - 21:00. There will be an array of live music performances, food stalls and craft sales. Entrance is R 20 per car and proceeds go towards the musicians. For all your purely organic goods head to this lovely market.  

TASTE: The flavors of spring with Breakfast at the Lagoon - at the Blue Lagoon hosted by ICookwithCebo for a delicious continental breakfast. Tickets cost R 150 per adult and R 70 per child. 

EXPLORE: Durban's International Blues festival, tickets cost R 150 per person and can be purchased here. Open from 19:00 - 2 September 11:00. Taking place at The Plant. A event filled with the best jazz artists, a good drink and a lot of dancing.

Saturday, 2 September

SEE: Mo Vawda, Devin Grey and so many more wonderful comedy acts at Butlers Comedy night - spend the evening in a hearty laughing session from 20: 30 - 22:00. Taking place at Butlers restaurant, tickets cost R 100 and can be purchased here. 

DO: Support Durban's thriving and local creative community at the bargain sale of the year - The I Heart Market. Taking place at the Moses Mabhida stadium. For the best in local crafts, art, fashion and more - the event starts at 09:00 - 14:00. Entrance is FREE. 

TASTE: A wide arrange of beers, wines and delicious food at the Witness Rosetta Craft Beer Fest - a festival you do not want to miss. Tickets cost R 90 and can be purchased here. The event is taking place at Rosetta Village Dam  from 11:00 - 18:00. 

EXPLORE: A wonderful event being held for the delicious food, wine and beer - Bubbles,Beer and Burgers, at Northwood Crusaders Sports Club. Unwind into the weekend and listen to some good jams while you explore the event in or tuck into a juicy burger. Tickets cost R 180 per adult and R 50 (kids under 12) and can be purchased here.

Sunday, 3 September

SEE: Arts and Crafts at the Essenwood Market, open from 09:00 onward. Entrance is FREE. 

DO: Welcome spring with a wonderful hike and yoga session - hosted by Just Breathe, taking place in the Giba Gorge Nature Reserve, tickets cost R 100 and is the best way to welcome spring! Purchase tickets here. From 07:30 - 10:00. 

TASTE: Dig into the Greek Buffet hosted at Hellenic from 12:00 - 15:00. It cost R 195 per person and R 100 per child - booking is essential. Eat your full in the delicious Greek food.

EXPLORE: Head to a wonderful Bring and Braai with live music at A Family Affair taking place at Ground Zero bar and restaurant. Open from 12:00 onward. Entrance is FREE.
