The spicy city is off to a start this weekend with loads of fun and entertainment to choose from.  

Hot off the Pretoria stage, Knowing Me, Knowing You, will take you on a musical adventure of daring proportions where life's personal experiences influenced some of the power partnerships in the music world at The Rockwood at Sibaya

The official BUZZART17 at the KZNSA Gallery is open and the theme is for this year is SEA CHANGE, but other themes and works are also welcome. Sea related submissions will be part of the curated exhibit.

Friday, 12 January

SEE: Hot off the Pretoria stage, Knowing Me, Knowing You, will take you on a musical adventure of daring proportions where life's personal experiences influenced some of the power partnerships in the music world at The Rockwood at Sibaya for R200.

DO: Catch the fnb surfski series - race 1 - fnb surfski challenge at the Marine Surf Lifesaving Club.

TASTE: Treat the whole family to the Shongweni farmers market, with classic ‘country style’ charm to decadent treats and freshly baked bread to handmade leather sandals and wooden furniture.

EXPLORE: Dreadlock Vibes in Durban is all about natural dreadlocks, dread maintenance, temporary dreads, clip in's, hairwraps and good vibes at Muggin Needle.

Saturday, 13 January

DO: Kings Park Archery Club is hosting the ancient art of archery where a World Archery Accredited female instructor can guide you through the program, introducing you to the amazing world of archery from a women's perspective.

TASTE: The delicious new and trendy flavors of Plan B dessertery - with their new take on desserts and sweet treats, they are a must visit. 

EXPLORE: End off your holiday learning about snakes. Join Nick Evans for a presentation highlighting why snakes are important, what we should do when we see one, identifying local species and more at the Giba Gorge Mountain Bike Park.

Sunday, 14 January 

SEE: Your little ones will experience a jam-packed day full of activities and interactive areas at the Ushaka Marine World for one single price.

DO: Soul Sunday Sessions at Crusaders.  Expect live music, good food, bucket specials, giveaways. This a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends and family, the Soul Sunday Sessions take place every Sunday of January and it's free.

TASTE: The Golden Hours Family Market this Sunday, offering a variety of food stalls including breakfast rolls, pancakes, curries, hamburgers, chips and pasta.

EXPLORE: Feel like a giant at Minitown, a replica 1:24 scale of Durban and some of its most iconic landmarks. With its mini-planes and mini-trains, and even a bridge that needs to be lifted to give way to incoming mini-boats, Minitown can be enjoyed and its detail appreciated by family members of all ages.
