It’s only the beginning of August and yet there's so much heat happening in and around Durbs shores and you don't want to miss out

You can choose from attending the first ever Shongweni Festival, sponsored by Land Rover Durban and FNB at the Shongweni Club, support women in music by checking the Imbokodo Jazz Festival featuring the likes of Feya Faku Quartet, Chantal Willie-Petersen and Lindiwe Maxolo to name a few or LYAO as Trevor Noah returns to where it all started in his first new South African show since he became the host of The Daily Show, at Durban International Convention Centre.

Friday, 11 August 

SEE: The first ever Shongweni Festival, sponsored by Land Rover Durban and FNB, promises to dazzle the crowds when it graces the showgrounds of the popular equestrian at the Shongweni Club, starting at 08:00.

DO: If you are one of the many that missed out on the last That's All Folk, we've got good news for you. The group is back, performing at the Hexagon Theatre at 19:00 and R100 gets you in. 

TASTE: if you are looking for a unique shopping experience that offers entertainment, good food and which is family and pet-friendly, then The Stables Market is perfect for you. Open from 18:00 - 22:00.

Saturday, 12 August

SEE: SA's biggest craft brew specTAPular is heading to the golden coast with a craft brew theatre of excellence and you are given the chance to vote for the breweries and bands you want at your festival. Event takes place at GrowthPoint Kings Park Stadium from 11:30 - 19:00. Admission cost R130 online and R150 at the door if available.

DO:  With Women's Month on the horizon, female artists are set to dominate this year's first annual Imbokodo Jazz Festival featuring the likes of Feya Faku Quartet, Chantal Willie-Petersen and Lindiwe Maxolo to name a few, taking place at the N-Shed Cruise Terminal facility in the Port of Durban and R300 gets you in.

TASTE: Sugar Rush Market is all about good quality local, fresh, organic handmade product. Market opens at 07:30 - 12:00 for free.

Sunday, 13 August

SEE: SA's very own, Trevor Noah returns to where it all started in his first new South African show since he became the host of The Daily Show. Performing at Durban International Convention Centre from 20:30, cost ranges from R350 - R1,100.

DO: Tinman returns to Suncoast and if you would prefer to be a spectator then come on down to Suncoast and watch rookies and elite athletes challenge themselves in the various events.
