SA Insider: Chill out in Port Elizabeth

The friendly city of Port Elizabeth has a great line up of events for the weekend of the 13 - 15 October. Whether you want to get down on the dance floor at the Mi Case album launch or chill out in the outdoors Bushbuck trail, there is something for everyone.

There will be no reason to be a couch potato with the events that PE has in store for you.

Where will you be getting your weekend swerve on from the 13 - 15 October? 

Friday, 13 October 

SEE: Mi Casa perform their album launch live at the Boardwalk. Tickets cost R 200 - R 995 per person and can be purchased here.

DO: Mix with the fashion elite at Mandela Bay fashion week, it will take place at The Tramways building from 19:30 - 22:30. Tickets cost R 100 R 900  per person and can be purchased here

TASTE:  The delicious flavors of Beershack while you attend Chunda Munki's live performance from 22:30 onward.

EXPLORE: The Bushbuck trail as you enjoy the day outdoors and explore their numerous trails. 

Saturday, 14 October 

SEE: Creative poetry performances at Alliance Francais Poetry festival that takes place from 17:30 onward. Entrance is free. 

DO: Experience a deeper sense of finding yourself at the Blindfold yoga session. It will take place at the Faith Hope Love yoga studio from 09:00 - 10:30. It cost R 150 per person and space is limited. 

TASTE: Delicious food at the Barn and Barrel as you attend a night at the races where there will be horse races. All funds will go towards the Rotary Sunrise project. It cost R 200 per person and is open from 19:00 - 23:00.

EXPLORE: Hear the coolest local music artists in PE perform at The conscious hook-up event. The event will be held at Bridge street Brewery. Performances will take place from 22:00 - 02:00. 

Sunday, 15 October 

SEE: All of South Africa's natural beauty at Kragga Kamma game park, entrance cost R 80 per adult and R 40 for kids between the age of 3 - 18. The park is open from 08:00 - 17:00. 

DO: Head to the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan art museum for a good does of history and creativity. It is open from 09:00 - 17:00. 

TASTE: Grab a mexican bite at Tilting heads and set your taste buds alive. Open from 12:00 - 22:30.

EXPLORE: A jazz night with Courtney Courus and Lora Joplin at the Anthenaeum. The live performance will be from 18:00 - 22:00 and tickets cost R per person R 100.
