The Friendly City is extra friendly this weekend, bringing you the best in family-friendly activities. 

There is a Decades Party show, featuring a 12 piece centre-stage band. Dance through the decades of 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. Cost is R180 per person at the Hellenic On Conyngham.

Bask in the wildlife of Africa with a day trip to Kragga Kamma Game Park, open from 08:00 - 17:00. Entrance cost R 80 per adult and R 40 per student.

The Guinness PRO14 Rugby Championship is here and for the first time includes teams from South Africa. Go support the Kings as they take on some of the best clubs in Europe at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium

Friday, 24 November 

SEE: Live thoroughbred horseracing at the Eastern Cape's only Racecourse, Fairview Racecourse. Racing commences at 12:30 and end 17:30.

TASTE: Friendly Stranger is full of character and a much-loved spot by locals. The restaurant sits adjacent to a micro brewery and small art gallery, making the little complex a sought-after destination, which owes much of its appeal to the food and general good vibe.

Saturday, 25 November  

SEE: Creative poetry performances at Alliance Francais Poetry festival that takes place from 17:30 onward. Entrance is free. 

DO: Zazzo Entertainment presents First Edition of "Paradise Bay". This is ideal for couples to enjoy sundowners at Kings Beach - with comfortable seating on the sand and extremely cool cocktail refreshments. Cost ranges from R490 per couple, single tickets are R120 per person (Pre-sold) or R150 per person at the gate.
 
TASTE: The Beach Front Market will be held on the lawn in front of the Marine Hotel, with foodies stalls including Pancakes, Sweet Treats, Ice Cream, Pastries, mouth-watering Pizza, Hamburgers, Gourmet Sandwiches, Traditional Roosterkoek with a variety of fillings, Biltong and Droe wors, Clothes for young and old and Costume Jewellery.  ost is  R20 for adults and R10 for kiddies (3-12 years)

Sunday, 26 November

DO: Head to the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan art museum for a good dose of history and creativity. It is open from 09:00 - 17:00. 

TASTE: An array of tapas and gin at the Gin bar and Tapas - taking place at Meat on Stanley. It will be from 18:30 onward.

EXPLORE: Take the kids to the kiddies fun day at Isaac Booi primary school from 12:00 - 16:00. There will be jumping castles and outdoor games. Tickets can be booked by clicking here.
