Port Elizabeth is ready for you to enjoy a wonderful weekend.

Packed with a balance of activities from wanting dancing on the tables at The Music Kitchen when you hear the Brothers and High Violet to taking a wonderful stroll on the Sardinia nature reserve beaches. Or chow down on a selection of delicious pastas and pizzas at Grass roots when all proceeds will go to an animal shelter.

Friday, 4 August 

SEE: Vaughan Caesar live at the Boardwalk - he is an upcoming South African artist and is heading for the stars. Starting at 21:00 - 24:00, entrance is FREE. 

DO: Enjoy a date night at Kiplings where there is a buffet and a bottle of wine awaiting you, while the kids enjoy a good movie and popcorn at the Boardwalk. Open from 18:00 - 21:00. R495 per family is the full cost. It is a Family Date night for everyone! 

TASTE: A selection of pizzas and pastas for R 100 per person at the Pizza and Pasta Charity Dinner held at Grass roots  from 07:00 - 22:00. Proceeds will go to Colchester Animal Outreach - please do bring any dog or cat food with as donations it will be greatly appreciated. 

EXPLORE: The music kitchen as they host Black Cats live from 20:00 - 23:30, entrance is R 100. The Black Cat Bones are turning 10 and stopping off at the Music Kitchen on their nationwide tour. Rock it out on Friday night.

Saturday, 5 August

SEE: Desmond and the Tutus live at Bridge street brewery  - R 100 gets you in the door and it is a performance not to be missed as they have played at venues across the world. The performance starts at 18:00 - 23:00. Tickets can be purchased here. 

DO: Dance on the tables at The Music Kitchen for The Brothers and High violet, tickets are R 80 at the door.

TASTE:  A cosy winter cocktail and treats at the Isango Boutique hotel , tickets can be purchased here at R 70 and R 100 at the door. There will be live performances as well as an art installation. 

EXPLORE: The market square for free - with its pop up acts that are frequently held. 

Sunday, 6 August

SEE: Visit Algoa bay and breathe in the fresh ocean air - you may be lucky enough to spot a whale! 

DO: Enjoy a bush walk with your furry friend at the Bush Fun Dog Walk, starting at 08:00 - 10:00. It will start at Grass roofs and promises to be a relaxed and good walk. 

TASTE: Enjoy an ocean view while you choose from an array of dishes at the Blue Waters Cafe, open from 07:30 - 22:00. 

EXPLORE: The Sardinia Bay nature reserve  as you walk through the beach, listening to the crisp ocean hit the shores.
