There are plenty of  events and activities happening in the Bay this weekend. 

Make your way to Old Grey Sports Club and relive your deck party days in spectacular fashion at an over 30's party night of good music, good drinks, and good memories.

If you are in the mood for food, The Beachfront Food Market at the Marine Drive Summerstrand is open this weekend with all kinds of great food and fun.

Friday, 08 December 

SEE: Live thoroughbred horseracing at Nelson Mandela Bay's only Racecourse. No entry fee and safe secure parking.

DO: Make your way to Old Grey Sports Club and relive your deck party days in spectacular fashion at an over 30's party night of good music, good drinks, and good memories.

TASTE: An array of tapas and gin at the Gin bar and Tapas - taking place at Meat on Stanley. It will be from 18:30 onward.

EXPLORE: The ever-popular Uncle Jumbo's Christmas party is back again with Noddy with his car, Mr Plod, Big Earts, fairies, princesses and many more fun characters what will keep you entertained and not forgetting Father Christmas. Kids are taken on a fun journey with games, snacks and special guests.

Saturday, 09 December   

SEE: The Kings & Queens of Comedy SA's leading comedy brand as they will be in Port Elizabeth with a line-up filled with royal hilarities at Sun Boardwalk Convention Centre.

DO: Join Bushbuck trails along on of their numerous trails for a great day in the outdoors. 

TASTE: The Beachfront Food Market at the Marine Drive Summerstrand is open this weekend with all kinds of great food and fun. Stalls such as Pancakes, Sweet Treats, Ice Cream, Pastries, mouth-watering Pizza, Hamburgers, Gourmet Sandwiches, Traditional Roosterkoek with a variety of fillings, Biltong and Droe wors, Clothes for young and old and Costume Jewellery are only a few to mention.

EXPLORE: The Red Tree Market is local, selling fresh produce, deli meats, gifting, freshly baked goods, wine and lots more... all from local Port Elizabeth entrepreneurs.

Sunday, 10 December 

SEE: Creative poetry performances at Alliance Francais Poetry festival that takes place from 17:30 onward. Entrance is free. 

DO: Head to the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan art museum for a good dose of history and creativity. It is open from 09:00 - 17:00. 

TASTE: Friendly Stranger is full of character and a much-loved spot by locals. The restaurant sits adjacent to a micro brewery and small art gallery, making the little complex a sought-after destination, which owes much of its appeal to the food and general good vibe.

EXPLORE: Bask in the wildlife of Africa with a day trip to Kragga Kamma Game Park, open from 08:00 - 17:00. Entrance cost R 80 per adult and R 40 per student.
