As we are close to Easter mode, PE’s weekend starts on great history with Fort Frederick followed by drinks and great live performances from 2016 Idols contestants performing at the Boardwalk Amphitheater.

What will you get up to this weekend between 07 to 09 April?

Friday, 07 April

SEE: The Fort Frederick is open to the public this weekend.

DO: Enjoy a beer or many at Bridge Street Brewery this first Friday.

TASTE: Get your drink on with Conradie Penhill Wine Tasting at Life is Grape. R50 bucks will do.

EXPLORE: Get to the GFI Gallery for The Schorr Collection exhibition and enjoy a cocktail or two while at it starting at 18:00.  R200 gets you in.

Saturday, 08 April

SEE: Idols 2016 runner-up Thami Shobede and Terra Cox will be performing in their first show in Port Elizabeth at the Boardwalk Amphitheater. The show starts at 19:00 and R 100 gets you in.

DO: The St George's Park Community Forum would like volunteers to assist with cleaning up the Park as a Community to improve the area from 10:00.

TASTE: Enjoy Noodles made a different way at Mellas Dim-Sum & Noodle Bar.

EXPLORE: Enjoy a Putt-Putt course, paintball, small farm yard and a view of a variety of birds at Open Sky Entertainment Park. Rates range from R10.

Sunday, 09 April

SEE: Catch pop up act at the Market Square for free.

DO: Visit the city's Gravity Indoor Trampoline Park venue where you can enjoy a jump session and indulge in a moment of quiet whilst your kids keep themselves entertained.

TASTE: Enjoy delicious food with relaxed and cosy at Joneses Family Caffé & Bistro

EXPLORE: The 1820 Settler history and architectural delights of the historical central city can be explored at leisure on a self-guided walking tour.
