Cape Town - If you've ever been on safari in South Africa, you know how unpredictable sightings can be. Sometimes you'll be lucky enough to check off the Big Five in less than an hour, other times it might take a little longer than that.

But one thing every experienced guide knows only to well, is that you can always expect the unexpected - as was the case with this footage caught on camera by a rather surprised tourist, Su-Jin Wong.

Wong had her camera rolling when a leopard leaped out in front of their safari vehicle near Londolozi in the Greater Kruger National Park.

Thankfully neither the animal nor the tourists were injured in this event. If you are planning on heading to the Kruger National Park - best you check out the new festive season day visitor entry system - aimed at easing congestion and long queues when entering the park
